A bold programme, and one shot to get it funded
enterprise4all set out to bring 250 women into frontier technology roles through a structured, local programme. The ambition was clear; the funding case had to be too. TechLocal is a competitive call, and a first-time bid doesn’t get a second draft.
The team knew their programme inside out. What they needed was to translate it into the shape an assessor scores: outcomes, additionality, delivery credibility.
Turn a programme the team believed in into a case an assessor could score.

1
A scoping call to test the fit and the ask
GrantHeroWe checked that TechLocal was the right route for the programme and pressure-tested the 250-place target against what the call was looking to fund. It held.

2
A first draft from the project, not a blank page
PlatformThe platform turned the programme design into a structured first draft of every scored question, so the founders were editing from the start rather than writing.
-
3
Expert draft and review, end to end
GrantHeroMark wrote the application narrative and worked through the delivery plan and outcomes with the team, with comments going back and forth in one place until it was ready.

A final check against the funder’s criteria
PlatformEvery scored criterion addressed, word limits held, outcomes evidenced, then into the portal in the format it expected.
Funded, and a programme that can now run
The bid was funded, with an award of £316,429. We don’t claim the assessor’s decision, nobody can, but the application went in making a clear, evidenced case for a programme that mattered, with nothing avoidable left to cost it marks.
The funding lets enterprise4all run the programme at the scale they designed it for, and take bets on delivery a first-time applicant couldn’t otherwise have taken.
